For a more intense life

Isaraok, 2018

Not so long ago, I lived a typically western way of life.

To make money, I spent time working. Part of it payed for my food, part of it payed for my tools, and part of it payed for my housing.

My sedentary job created a need for physical activities.

So I spent time playing sports, and this cost money, which is working time.

As all this was indoors, I needed some fresh air.

I spent time outdoors, and it cost me some money to go there, therefore it cost time.

As all this was not very creative, my need to express myself was not satisfied.

I spent time playing arts and crafts, it cost money, so it costs time.

All in all, all this involved a lot of time, always involved money, and the result was … not much, because those needs were satisfied one after the other.

This way of life was …not concentrated … I would even say diluted.

Today I spend less time living this lifestyle.

Less working time is less money, so less needs satisfied through money.

So I can spend more time living a different lifestyle, grounded in my surroundings Then, I say I live directly connected with my environment, limiting technical intermediaries.

To feed myself, make my tools, or improve my settings, I watch, imagine and create, in the outdoors, often making physical efforts.

In this way of life, each activity directly satisfies an array of needs. For example, when I spend time making a tool, I breathe fresh air, with physical efforts, and I create.

Each time lapse concentrates many feelings. And this is what makes this lifestyle more intense.

If you liked these thoughts, turn off your computer, go outdoors …and explore your area !
