From rough sieving to thin filtering.

My favorite tool to sieve with a large mesh is my little sieve, the one I made.

The one I use most frequently is a cutlery pot (1 euro, the label is still there). I use it to sort coal out of ashes.

For ashes and clay, I use a kitchen sieve with large a rather large mesh.

And I also use a kitchen sieve with a smaller mesh.

To sieve very thinly I use a curtain. That's how I make painting pigments from clay.

Still thinner : a cloth, to filter my ash washing liquid.

And I dream I could find a way to filter water with my potteries …
