Uses
- 1. Sieving with a 6mm mesh → small pieces of coal.
Use : no-smoke fuel for outdoor cooking fires, in a small portative stove.
- 2A. Mixing roughly sieved ash with water and later sieving the liquid part with a cloth → ash washing liquid
.Use : washing liquid for clothes and most surfaces to clean of the house, and cleaning sheep fleece.
- 2B. Thin sieving of roughly sieved ash → small grains (not passing through the sieve). To be included in cleaning blocks
.
- 2C. I sometimes use ashes sieved with different mesh sizes as pottery temper for my fired clay pots
. And crushed and sieved charcoal as well.
- 3. Concentration of ash leachate (resulting from 1+2A) → concentrated ash leachate.Out of it, I made creamy soap
.
- After 1 + 2A, I'm left with washed ashes, replacing sand in mortar ? Ongoing trials. I didn't find any information on this, if you have some, thanks for transmitting !
A video is planned …
